Hi everyone! I am a Catholic Candidate of the Roman Rite. I was baptised Pentecostal. I am a fairly mystical person in that I love the mysticism of faith. I guess I could explain that as the mystery of faith. Some of my interests are computer networking, coin collecting, computer gaming, Nintendo gaming, reading, eating a variety of different kinds of food, e-activism (sending petitions and e-mails to legislators), occasional postal activism (if I can afford the stamps), studying religion and philosophy, apologetics, learning, and pets (mostly cats and birds but also some dogs). I also love nature. God really did a most excellent job of creating this universe! The more we learn, the more awesome it is! ;D OH and I also love to post messages on message boards! I am a conservative for the most part. I am definitely and orthodox Catholic. I believe all the dogmas and really don't have hardly any doubts at all about Catholicism. I believe that both it and the Orthodox Church are valid Christian churches that Jesus founded. I don't know much about the Orthodox Church but I have a few friends who are members of the Orthodox Church. Some of my flaws is that I sometimes overwork myself and get exhausted. I also try to be perfect all the time which believe me is hard. I also have other flaws but I'd rather not discuss them right now.

Welcome, Holly!!
My name is Joe. I do so many things with St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in Fair Lawn, NJ. I am a catechist. (I teach 7th, 9th and 10th grades) I am President of The Holy Name Society. I'm a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus. I am a Secular Franciscan. I am a member of Men's Cornerstone. I sing in the choir. I am one of the founders of our Youth Mass. I also perform in our church theater company, St. Anne Stages... we're currently rehearsing for Fiddler on the Roof... (and I've been asked to grow a beard and long hair for the show... and let me tell you, that beard itches!! ha ha). Kind of like a bottom line... I'm pretty active with my church.
This doesn't make me better than anyone... My Journey of Faith took me in this direction when I was heading in another.
Life is really a wonderful and exciting journey. May your journey be filled with much blessings and joy along the way!!
In Christ's Name, Joe

Thanks for the welcome Joe! I entered in to full communion with the Catholic Church on Easter Vigil of this year. That would be the Easter Vigil of the Western Rite. I think the Eastern Rite Catholics celebrate Easter a week or two later don't they?
Anyway, my first thing that I'll do to actually be active in the Church is that I will be helping out with Vacation Bible School this year. That starts in a week or two. I can't wait!

That's awesome, Holly! Congratulations!! Sounds like you're being called to teach.... As a catechist, that's indescribable in working with the children. It teaches us just as much as we teach them. You'll see...
Blessings, Joe
