He was one of my spiritual heroes...a truly great Christian whose life was a reflection of the love of Christ and the healing power of humility and forgiveness.
He reached out to everyone: Jews, Mus!ims, Hindus, everyone! He did such great work trying to reconcile Orthodoxy and Catholicism! His loving heart and his greatness of spirit were evident to all.
I feel blessed to have been alive during his pontificate.
May his memory be eternal!

Thank you Wiffey. It was not until I was coming into the Church that I really began to understand what a gift God had given us, this world, in this gentle and humble and godly man. I cannot express how much he meant to me . . I know it is the work of the Holy Spirit who unites us to one another, who gave me such a love for this man as if he were my father. He has given so much to all of us.
Lat night I watched the mass in St Peter's Square on the live cam. Then, in the middle of the night I went to watch CNN . . and there he was lying in state . . seeing him I burst into tears and cried many tears.
May his memory be eternal!

The Miracles attributed to him even before he passed away is a testament to this humble Polish Pope. His legacy will forever live on... in his devotion to Mary, the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary, his forgiveness of the very man who would have assassinated him, his command of so many languages around the world, his love of children and his love for all of us and most especially the less fortunate.
In them, he saw Christ.
Blessings, Joe
